Primary Bathroom Priorities

What are buyers looking for in a primary bathroom?

Determining the things that buyers are looking for is always a moving target. What some cohorts want, others do not. What’s on trend one year is not the next, and that isn’t even taking into account events that change the way people look at or live in their homes. Bathroom finishes are a home consideration that people have been placing more emphasis over the past year, so what does the data say they are looking for?

What They Want

According to this article by the NAHB, the degree to which the bathroom has increased in importance can be shown by the fact that, among those surveyed, 12/18 features were considered to be “essential” or “desirable” by over half of the respondents.

Among the features the NAHB lists as the most important to homebuyers are: primary bathroom linen closet, primary bathroom shower AND bath, primary bathroom dual vanity, and a separate area for the toilet in the primary bathroom.

How To Show It

Obviously, if your listing has any of these features, it is important to show them in your listing materials in order to attract the most buyer traffic. A great way to do that is by booking an appointment for our magazine-quality listing photos, a property walkthrough video, or a Matterport 3D Tour.

After you book your appointment, make sure to consult and pass along to your client our handy pre-appointment prep guide. Using it will help your client to make sure that the listing will look its very best for your appointment.
